Gemstone Well's elixir guide lists hematite as a stone for the indirect method only, so it should not sit in your drink. In this bottle it never does: the hematite and clear quartz stay in the lower chamber, divided from the water by glass.

Is the bottle glass or plastic?

The bottle is lead-free borosilicate glass, the same type of glass used in laboratory instruments. The top and bottom caps are stainless steel, lined with BPA-free plastic and a silicone washer that helps keep the bottle from leaking.

Can I swap the hematite for another stone?
